Job Position: Plant Supervisor

Pay Rate: $70,000 – $85,000 a year

Shift: 2^nd Shift, Monday to Friday

Diverse Staffing has partnered with a fast-growing company to source a 2^nd Shift Plant Supervisor in Whiteland, IN.  Our client utilizes automation, robotics, and software to deliver efficient packaging and assembly solutions in the food and beverage industry.  The Plant Supervisor position will support our client by managing the employees, equipment and the processes within the Plant, to ensure safety, efficiency and to ensure our clients’ goals are met or exceeded.

Your Day-to-Day Tasks will be:

Achieve or exceed targeted Line throughput goals while performing with the highest safety and quality standards.

Achieve or exceed Line utilization goals while ensuring proper equipment maintenance is performed.

Oversee Line staffing, performance and safety.

Oversee Line equipment performance

Line equipment preventative and unplanned maintenance management.

Support spare parts inventory control and maintenance.

Maintenance and publication of a comprehensive Line Operations cost, speed, up-time and safety performance KPI dashboard.

Support warehouse and yard operations, including inbound and outbound product processing, effective utilization of WMS, and efficient use of and maintenance of facilities and support equipment

All other duties as directed by Plant Manager.

This Job Requires:

Valid Driver’s License.

5+ years of plant operations experience required.

5 years of WMS & ERP experience; Netsuite preferred

Knowledge and experience with safety regulations, ex: OSHA, MSHA

Communication and interpersonal skills

Bi-Lingual (Spanish) preferred

Organizational and leadership skills

Self-motivated with a results-driven approach

Physical Demands:

Can lift up to 50 pounds.

Use one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects

Stand for long periods of time.

Kneel, stoop, crouch, bend, stretch, twist or crawl.

Operate sky jack of up to 22-feet

Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them.

See details of objects that are less than a few feet away.

See differences between colors, shades, and brightness 

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

HS Diploma or equivalent

Trainable – the ideal candidate will be willing to learn new skills

Ability to read and interpret customer specifications

Prior experience in the manufacturing industry – preferably heat treating

Positive professional attitude – reliable (at work every day)

Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
