The Diverse Staffing / Diverse Tech Services Legal Electronic Records Clerk at this client location performs the following responsibilities:

Receive and validate the electronic integrity of documents, data, and other evidence collected as part of investigations being conducted by the USAO-DNJ’s Criminal Division.

Compile, organize, and index documents, data, and other evidence received.

Maintain a log of documents, data, and other evidence received.

Upload documents, data, and other evidence received to the USAO-DNJ’s network servers consistent with existing file folder structure. 

Assist in the processing of documents, data, and other evidence received.

Determine the need for organization, document management, assembly and preparation of documents and data sets. 

Work closely with AUSAs and paralegals to ensure that materials received are appropriately and efficiently organized.

Obtain needed information from files, law enforcement agencies, or other sources.

Additional duties as assigned. 

Requirements:

US Citizen who has lived in the U.S. three out of the last five years

Ability to pass an in-depth criminal background check

Ability to pass an in-depth credit report (no delinquencies, collections or recent bankruptcies)

Ability to pass a drug screen

Experience performing a similar role

Basic office skills and knowledge of personal computers, scanners, copy and fax machines

Ability to work with electronic storage media such as hard drives, CD/DVDs and thumb drives

Ability to work as a team member and to facilitate work processes among other staff members.

Organizational skills are critical given the high volume of documents, data, and other materials the Electronic Records Clerk will be expected to manage. 

Ability to effectively manage their workload, prioritize tasks, and maintain files in a consistent, systematic, and coherent manner.

Communication skills are extremely important. 

Ability to meet established deadlines and work as a team player in a professional office setting is also required. 

Must have the ability to use MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Professional

Ideally has experience using Beyond Compare (or similar electronic file management utility)

Ideally has experience reviewing documents and working in Eclipse, Relativity, and/or CaseMap.
