Business Development Manager in the Lawrenceville, GA Sales Territory. This six-figure earning opportunity offers a competitive salary up to $75,000 annually and uncapped bonuses based on personal performance. The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing new business opportunities with prospective strategic customers, penetration. The BDM is also responsible for retention and expansion of existing customer accounts. Core activities include prospecting new business in-person, by phone and email, territory management, lead identification and qualification, cold calling, setting appointments, creating, and developing proposals and pricing models, conducting presentations, documenting customer agreements (e.g., contract, service agreement), closing sales and partnering with delivery team(s) to ensure effective delivery against client expectations. This is a 100% “hunter” role, not a “farmer” role.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a book of business through prospecting new business and leveraging existing customer relationships, with a specific target of new accounts and expansion opportunities.

  • Develop strategy for penetrating/layering within accounts.

  • Grow the business by achieving company gross margin milestones and goals.

  • Develop business through a combination of methods that may include all or in part: research, lead generation, prospecting, networking and in-person appointments with new and inactive clients.

  • Generate leads through prospecting and cold calling, both in-person and via telephone and other electronic media such as social networking tools and techniques.

  • Remain current with the complete range of Diverse Staffing service offerings and capabilities to effectively cross-sell multiple service lines.

  • Remain current with competitive trends, staffing/human resource issues and market conditions and their effect on business.

  • Generate viable business opportunities from new and inactive accounts.

  • Track and move opportunities through the sales funnel.

  • Participate in weekly funnel calls to measure productivity and sales growth.

  • Meet all minimum requirements for weekly appointment activity and gross margin growth.

  • Complete the timely entry of all required sales documentation into company CRM and other automated systems. Maintain consistency and integrity of data.

  • Coordinate with recruiting teams to ensure delivery to client's requisitions.

  • Participate in sales and training seminars geared toward the sales team.

  • Meet with Managing Director Client Services and inside staff on a regular basis to communicate all client services priorities as well as information on clients or prospects for bids and proposals within assigned territory.

  • Assess client relationship and associated processes, identifying areas for improvement and partnering with internal resources and the client to confirm the problem, gather appropriate information, determine potential causes, and specify and implement alternative solutions.

  • A proven sales track record with a minimum of 3 years’ experience selling in staffing, manufacturing, or logistics industries. Track record should include measurable accolades (awards, promotions, etc.) of meeting and exceeding sales targets.

  • Can complete a 30-60-90-day business plan with achievable prospects and targets within their territory.

  • Proven ability to obtain, understand, and leverage market intelligence in the design of strategies to target, establish new client relationships and strengthen existing relationships.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to interact in a respectful manner with a diverse population of colleagues, clients, and job applicants; leveraging active listening skills and paying attention to cues from reading the audience.

  • Proven communication skills: able to convey one’s message in a clear, concise and professional manner, considering one’s audience, in all forms of media (i.e., voicemail, phone, email, face-to-face) and handles conflicts and disagreements constructively.

  • Proficient multi-tasking capabilities; able to prioritize multiple client job requisitions, software and business processes while remaining compliant with policies and delivering against deadlines.

  • Proven problem-solving skills; able to identify important aspects of a problem, gather appropriate information, determine potential causes, and specify alternative solutions.

  • Ability to travel to corporate events, training, sales blitzes in other markets as needed (1-3 times per quarter) and maintain a flexible work schedule.

  • Excellent software and multi-tasking skills with company CRM, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word.
